Performing Arts Network for New Kids

PAN for New Kids is a practical global and local concept

It involves promoting and guiding the creative potential of children via the Performing Arts, initially through music.

PAN then links their ideas together in various ways, from: collaborative songwriting, recording, CD exchange, email etc. networking, to personal visits and participation in regional, national, and international cultural festivals – thus involving travel.

The New World that these children and most adults wish to live in is one of open and trusting communication, having and sharing dreams and passions, and actualising their potential. These children are the “New Kids”.

What better way to co-create such a world than through helping today's aware youth help each other – and therefore planet Earth! That is PAN's role.

Following its inaugural meeting in Northampton, Western Australia in November 2004, PAN went on a 3-month World Tour and thus connected to the New Kids' international consciousness in several countries. The trip was highlighted by a hosted tour of schools and other educational communities in Siberia, Russia.

During this time, seeds were sown for a cultural exchange between Western Australian and Siberian youth to demonstrate creativity, especially in the Performing Arts.

PAN extrapolates the Australian-Russian connection to include other countries in the future. It also expects to incorporate other branches of Performing Arts such as dance, drama, etc. into the Network – with special emphasis on original creations.

We envision that in only a few years this endeavour can grow into PAN organising and leading cultural tours and sharing the talent of these young people in an international context. Contact us for details.
