Your well-travelled hosts take very good care of up to eight adults - and children - in your choice of two units, each with its own private entrance via the spectacular west-facing veranda. The historic whitewashed Long Cottage (originally a "duplex", built in 1870) overlooks a peaceful valley with a winter creek, and is surrounded by rolling hills. Relax in comfortable rooms and enjoy a generous breakfast indoors or on the garden verandas, served by your friendly hosts.

Unit 1 can accommodate up to 4 adults, with a separate bedroom and sitting room with easy chairs and sofa bed. A charming wood-burning stove completes the cosy ambience.

Unit 2, "the family unit", is an open-floor plan with similar furnishings, plus an extra sofa and space for a rollaway bed. The dining room, bathroom and kitchen are shared areas, but there is plenty of room for privacy.

Northampton is a quaint town, classified as one of four Historical Towns in Western Australia by the National Trust in 1993. Other historic places of interest are: Chiverton House Museum, Gwalla Pioneer Cemetery and Church, Monsignior Hawes' Church of Our Lady in Ara Coeli and associated Nagle Centre, Cripps' original Family Store, historic pubs, and other stone miners' cottages.
